Intergenerational Choir

$20 per person, $10 for second family member
An invitation is extended to singers and non-singers of all ages, generations and cultures to join voices for the Intergenerational Choir Workshop. This workshop is open to those will all levels of experience (or inexperience!) and we encourage workshop attendees to bring along another family member eg grandparent/child.
Réka Csernyik is currently lecturer in conducting and aural studies at The University of Queensland. Born in Hungary, Réka earned degrees in Music Education, Choral Conducting and Church Music and has experience in primary and secondary teaching. She also has extensive experience in choral competitions as both leader and performer.
Réka has conducted various workshops throughout Australia as well as internationally. She has been invited as guest lecturer as well as adjudicator to several events in Queensland. Presently, Réka directs the choir of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Brisbane as well as the University of Queensland Chorale and So-la Voce Chamber Choir. In 2006 Réka was awarded the most outstanding conductor prize at the International Choral Competition in the Czech Republic.
Singing is a wonderful and natural way for people to share together and we are very lucky to have the services of Reka Csernyik from UQ to run a singing workshop for all ages during the Peace Festival.
