"Peacefulness through a Bowl of Tea" - Experience the beauty, harmony and tranquility of the traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony presented by the ladies of the Kumiyama Way of Tea Circle party from Kumiyama Japan. Saturday 11.00am & 2.30pm at Peace in the Park.
Enjoy the excitement of Kumiyama's talented soccer team playing local and African teams.
- Exhibition Match on Saturday at 2.00pm between Warwick and Kumiyama.
- Peace Festival Football Carnival on Sunday from 9.30am to 4.00pm featuring Liberian, Zimbabwean, Ethiopian, Sudanese, Somali, All Nations, Japanese and local teams. Includes a womens 'round robin' featuring the Tweed Terrors, Zimbabwe Warriors and Warwick Wolves teams.The Peace Festival is honoured by the presence of Warwick's dear friends from Kumiyama Japan, our unofficial sister city.
This time their talented football team returns bringing 3 ladies skilled in the art of Chado, the traditional tea ceremony. They are also accompanied by the Mayor of Kumiyama, Mr Sakamoto, who returns to Warwick to support and enjoy the Peace Festival.
