Warwick Art Gallery is presenting a collaborative art exhibition of painting, ceramics and installations including the work of Paul du Moulin and the Warwick Potters Group.
Paul du Moulin's great grandfather lived in Warwick between 1890 and 1945, and as an architect designed many of the buildings in and around the Warwick region, including St Mary’s Cathedral.
It is proposed to make a study of the physical aspect of the environment of Warwick, and its relationship to the idea of family connections. The study will be directed to communally enjoyed leisure spaces and public buildings. Special attention will be given to the connections between the built environment and its effects on a community's sense of harmony and peace. By incorporating some aspects of my great grandfathers building designs and experiences into the pieces I will endeavour to connect the idea of family, art and environment.
Warwick Potters Group have been invited to create an installation which makes a literal study of the theme "connecting". Individual artists will also present a selection of their best recent work.
