ABOUT US
Peace Festival Warwick is organized by a group of people drawn from the Warwick Community who believe in Peace and the need for Peace.
It is a community activity the heart and soul of which is the goodwill of community groups and individuals.
What inspires us is making the world a better place by looking at needs within our community.
We do this by creating opportunities for others who have the ideal of Peace in their hearts to give expression to their inspiration and make a contribution to Peace in our community.
As such, the festival has been a vehicle for expression of the goodwill of many in the community including the Kairouz family of the Warwick Twin Cinema, many local artists and musicians, the Warwick Art Gallery, Mercy Family Services, Zonta, Warwick District Football Association, Southern Downs Regional Council, the School of Total Education and numerous other individuals and groups who have embraced the opportunity to contribute.
The theme for each festival is decided on in an open community meeting and reflects a positive approach to a recognized community need.
The Festival is auspiced by the Total Health and Education Foundation, a not for profit body based in Warwick, which provides office and administration facilities through its headquarters in Warwick and is the vehicle through which grants and sponsorship are facilitated.
